I do not look to the famous and wealthy for inspiration or motivation. I find more strength and inspiration in the hopeless that have hope, the abused that survived, in women that refuse to be stopped from being all they can be. These are the richest people I know

"The pursuit of excellence is the key to a great life" - Someone Just so y'all know, the pursuit of an excellent nap, of finding an excellent delivery service when you're too tired to cook, and finding an excellent movie when you're doing nothing.... these count too. Just sayin'

"I know I said I'd come to your party, but that was three days ago, and I was young, brash, full of hope... I've grown wiser since then, experienced life, and your party? That was a yesterday promise" - Best Introvert Party Excuses of 2025, #42

When us Introverts are at a party and we hear some idiot yell out 'Go big or go home!" we're like, 'Home? Seriously? How small do we have to be? No big here!'

Subbing today and had to hurry up two flights of stairs to next class, trying to breathe normally so the kids couldn't tell I was about to pass out. You can never show them weakness. You'll be dead meat.

I remember gender reveal parties where the couple went to the doctor and the doctor told you what sex the baby was and then you went home, and held each other, both weeping, in complete awe of what you had done. It was a party of two (3?) and it was magnificent

Watching a movie set in early 60s, 6th grade schoolroom, and it was accurate, exactly as i remember. The teacher taught math, then English, then writing, then social studies. Then she assigned homework with consequences if it was incomplete. We learned. By God, we learned.

Notice: This is a non-partisan snarky post Every time I see this picture of Eric Swalwell, and it's out there often, I can't help but think it looks like he's been caught picking his nose.

Trying to communicate with doctor offices, coordinating releases, is like eating a bowl of soup with chopsticks

Wanted to make a burger but no buns and out of bread. I used a tortilla, wrapped the burger patty up with my lettuce, tomato, etc. Did I make a Burger Fajita? Enchilada? A burger wrap? (It was pretty dang good!)

I finally figured out that my wife can speak fluently, four languages: 1. English 2. Eye Rolls 3. Door Slams 4. Long sighs while shaking her head

I bought new anti-glare sunglasses and I'm looking at my wife and they clearly don't work

Watching 'Risky Business'.... Sometimes you just gotta say it. And I said it a lot. Not a bad way to live life.

James Van Der Beek, battling cancer, is auctioning off memorabilia to help pay costs. I wish I had the money to buy every item from Varsity Blues. I wish I could personally tell him 'Thank you' for this scene that lifted me up during a dark time in my life.

Abuse survivors often have their story trivialized and questioned. No one has earned the right to do that. Some of Your Truths: 1. It was that bad 2. Sometimes the memory hurts just as bad as the act 3. You're an expert at faking happiness Bless you each and every one

I am not a fan of Jesse Jackson, but, it was announced he is hospitalized with a rare neurodegenerative disease. I pray for his recovery, his relief, his comfort. He is a human being and a child of God. Our political differences can take a back seat.
