Doctors are not supposed to stay treating patients. They can have a political say, they can youtube, they can invest, they can vlog, do business etc. It is normal. Let's not make it a taboo.
I am 29 years old and I have been away from my home for 14 yrs now.
Yes! That’s the cost of dreams for someone who comes from a small town.
Those who have been away from home know it 🤗
Sorry India!
No one will want their loved ones to become doctors anymore in this country 😔
This is a pandemic of murder of dreams of becoming a doctor.
The power of holding equity 😊
My Grand parents had purchased SBI shares worth 500 Rs in 1994.
They had forgotten about it. Infact they had no idea why they purchased it and if they even hold it.
I found some such certificates while consolidating family's holdings in a
Spirit of life ✨
3 months in ICU, multiple surgeries, on and off ventilator multiple times.
Mother had given up.
But our team of doctors, nurses and allied staff kept going.
And now mother was so happy.
Never lose HOPE friends ❤️

Good news!
India has indigenously developed Cervical cancer vaccine.
Previously these used to be imported from outside at a cost of 3.5 to 4k per dose.
This vaccine is likely to cost 200-400₹ per dose.
Personal update:
It started as a dream for me.
Last 6 years, countless sleepless nights, roller coaster of emotions and finally I have officially passed my MCh in Pediatric Surgery course at AIIMS Jodhpur.
Thankful to God, my teachers, my family and friends and to all of you
This little friend of mine is a warrior.
He underwent 3 CPRs while he was in ICU, our team got him through.
We became friends during his ICU stay.
Now in every visit, he ensures to say Hi to me, we click selfies and crack jokes.
Yes. Things like this keep me going ❤️
Some 🇮🇳heroes need to be famous.
Did you know about this interesting story about the man behind ORS?
I am sure you must have seen these sachets in your homes when someone had diarrhoea?
Let us know about the man who saved millions 🧵 (1/11)
Since new set of residents will be joining their PG courses soon and would want to begin personal finance journey too.

Isolated myself with onset of symptoms
Please do take care
Avoid gatherings
Medical team serving in ICUs be extra cautious 🙏🏻
If you come from a middle class family.
If you ask your parents to do some luxury spending for themselves.
They won’t agree.
Most of them killed their desires to save enough for their kids.
If someone has to commit suicide to tell the society “DON’T HARASS INNOCENT DOCTORS” then something is very wrong with our society.
There will be a day when doctors will stop taking serious cases due to fear of their own lives 😞

This lady here is the peon in my alma mater- Nirmal Vidyalay.
She used to ring the bell even when we were in the school right from our primary school.
She did recognise me as soon as she saw me today in the school.
She was so proud and kept telling the students there -
Most of the patients feel satisfied if you just listen to their problems.
Even when it is irrelevant at times.
Just listening to it and reassuring them makes them feel better 😇
He said “ I couldn’t go to school beyond class 8th because of my illness. My father got silicosis. So i learnt sketching online and used to sell it for 700-800₹”
Let me tell you the story of a real life hero. (1/11)
There are so many students who just downloaded twitter so that they can make their voices heard about NEET PG
I know it doesn’t affect most of us but we can atleast support their cause 🙏🏻
So that their problems get heard and fair solution is provided

In this wedding season, please keep little kids away from those Pan stalls having supari.
Just removed this large supari bit from a 4 year old kid’s airway (Right main bronchus)
Please share this to create awareness 🙏🏻
This little girl next to me is the "Health minister" of her school.
She told me how she works to promote healthy habits in her school.
I did share how we doctors promote health 🩺
I also found ORS in their first aid kit and told the students, the story behind its discovery.
Today I let my junior (1st year) go home at 8PM. She was not able to believe when I said you can go home and take rest today.
I don't know who needs to hear this but be good to your juniors for no reason. They will also feel happy.

A nice experiment to try if you are a doctor-
Go to a hospital in Tier 2/3 town as a patient without telling that you are a doctor.
It does make us realise the patient's POV, their struggles and problems.
PS: I recently tried this.
I was eating street food yesterday.
3 guys were standing beside me. One of them kept looking at me. Then he said to his friends " Dekh naa angrez ko bhi aloo tikki ka swaad lag gya. Maze se khaa raha hai"
I so wanted to reply to him in Hindi at the end 🥹
What should have I
If around 1 lakh doctors are in the streets then something is seriously wrong.
Do you think the entire fraternity is against common people and just want money? Like seriously?

Literally nobody.
Indian friends / relatives- sends you a pdf with CBC and viral markers reports and then ask- "Kya lag raha hai?"
No history, no complaints, nothing.

A patient that had minimal chances of survival, got operated multiple times.
Stayed in ICU for 3 months, was on ventilator for almost 1 month.
Multiple extubation failures, finally recovered and is being shifted to ward.
The spirit of life 🔥
My mother called me up early morning to wake me up as it is Diwali.
Staff took the call and said- “Sir is operating, Happy Diwali aunty”
She was like- chalo jaldi to uth gya isi bahaane 😂
Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali 🪔

For those who are on duty 🫡
A 2.5 year old kid came to our opd today with his father and said - “Hello guys kaise ho”
His father slightly embarrassed - “Sorry sir, he learnt this from youtube vlogs”
We all had a good laugh and sent him back with -“Bye guys” 😅
People love sun in winter and hate it in summer.
Most people will behave with you in terms of their state in life and the value you add. The world is selfish.
Stop trying to please everyone.
Not all the patients can go home. So we doctors and nurses celebrated the festival with the ones stuck in hospital in our ward.
Kyuki Diwali to sabki hoti hai naa 🤗
Once a patient's attendant told my faculty "Thoda aur padh lete to bado ke doctor ban jaate" 😝😝🤕
(If you had studied more, you could have become doctor treating adults)
PS: He is a pediatric surgeon.

If you have kids at home-
Ask them if they are able to use toilets at their school or not? 🚽
A lots of kids develop urine and potty holding behaviour due to dirty or unhygienic toilets 🤮
This may have serious long term effects.
When we keep babies fasting for OT. Usually I see that their mothers also fast along with babies.
There is no logic, there is just love 😇
Mother’s love ❤️
Finally I have shifted to Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
I have to stay close to my family and manage work. I will keep continuing with School Health Pro and its health camps from here and finally will be starting to do surgeries as well again 🤩

Performed one of most difficult intubation of mine till date.
This neonate has a part of brain outside in that swelling (Encephalocoele) which makes the intubation process very difficult.
As there are chances of rupturing it.
(Had father’s consent before sharing)
Doctors day tomorrow.
Can you tag some doctor who has helped you, inspired you or affected your life in a positive way.
Be it in medical or non medical way. Doesn’t matter.
Let’s just share some love and gratitude❤️
🚨 10 hard hitting facts for juniors who aspire to become doctor in India-
1. The respect for which u wanted to work crazy hours will be limited and time bound.
2. Patient doctor relationship isn’t the same. There is big mistrust. Patients think you rob them off

A grand mother kept pleading to let the baby die.
Baby has been there for almost 2 months, on and off ventilator.
The grand mother who kept crying badly, kissed the baby and said I can’t see you in pain anymore.

Hello everyone 👋
A good thing about joint family is that every small occasion becomes like a festival when everyone is together ✨
My family had this really cute song for me.
Forever grateful ❤️
Family = biggest strength.
Lots of NEET PG aspirants are suffering.
But now with the recent notice, try to focus and keep reading as well ✌🏻
Most importantly don’t try to hurt yourself 🥹
I hope SC helps the students.
Best wishes to every aspirant 🙏🏻

So many NEET PG aspirants are suffering.
The legit technical issues and consequences due to delay in previous counselling are yet to be solved.
Must be a really tough time for the aspirants 🙏🏻
We as a fraternity need to learn to stand up for each other.
I know we don’t have time, but if you expect someone to speak for you when you are in problem you better do the same. Else such murders, assaults, violence incidents will keep happening

Weddings are often financial suicides for lots of families.
I have seen families exhausting entire life’s savings and even taking loan on top of that for marriages.
Just because “Gaon ya sheher me izzat hai hamari”
To all the youngsters who are choosing their dream branches in India-
“Life is much more beyond just doctor, engineer, CA, lawyer degrees. Be passionate to learn and acquire more skills.”
There are so many career options beyond traditional domain.
Message to juniors-
Healthcare in India will keep facing the heat for charging money.
People may spend more on babas, magic treatment, cinemas, hotels, shows etc.
Some other docs may loot and you will stand to defend your work
Get alternate income sources to save yourself.
Often when babies are born with malformations especially female child.
I have seen instances where most of the family members leave the baby alone without seeking treatment.
It is only the “mother” who stays with baby and gets the baby treated.
Mental health matters!!
Regardless of your age, field of specialisation or level of achievement.
If you are depressed or not able to cope up- “seek help”
If you are reading this. Yes! You are important and so is your mental health ☺️
When you start getting older, there is a point in life when you will start realising that now your parents also need you.
That moment when it hits you that roles have changed 🤌🏻
Operating our way to new year.
Hopefully no more emergencies for the day.
Hoping that everyone gets to enjoy the new year eve with their loved ones.
