📑 Researchers from @INLnano have reported, for the 1st time, that the excitation of optical anapoles states can be achieved at the UV-A wavelength range. This means a step forward towards the development of novel sensors in the #LEARNproject.

Nearly all of the projects in the @IDEAL_CLUSTER are working with #sensors as an #IndoorAirQuality monitoring tool🧐 👉In the working group 5 session, we have heard about a number of (low-cost) #sensors for measurements of #VOCs, ultra-fine particles, #PM10 etc. to assess #IAQ

@ediaqi_project @IDEAL_CLUSTER @HealthandEnv @EU_HaDEA @EUScienceInnov "In the #LEARNproject, we are developing affordable VOC & UFP sensors that can also allow us to optimise the functioning of the #airpurifier in real-time, according to the detected levels of specific pollutants." - Andreas Scope (MANN+HUMMEL).

"When developing air filtration solutions for schools, it has been a challenge to find a balance between best performance and cost affordability and energy efficiency. But even affordable filters, combined with good ventilation, can make a big difference." A. Scope (MANN+HUMMEL)

@ediaqi_project @IDEAL_CLUSTER @HealthandEnv @EU_HaDEA @EUScienceInnov A. Scope (MANN+HUMMEL) continues by presenting different filter solutions for each particle size. It is possible to create the best #airfiltration and absorption solution for each situation by combining different materials and technologies, like we are doing in the #LEARNproject.

Andreas Scope's (MANN+HUMMEL) presentation starts by explaining the #health risks of #airpollutants. The smaller the size of the particle, the easier it is to pass through our respiratory system.
