@SRF

Overall, our findings indicate that women’s underrepresentation among scientific experts impacts the effectiveness of expert advice among citizens, in particular women – beyond its multiple other negative consequences for academia and society more broadly. 3/4

Women are highly underrepresented among scientific experts. We show that if there are female experts, they are not perceived as less credible than their male colleagues. They are even considered slightly more credible among female citizens. https://t.co/nJeLIlR8uW 1/4

#Diskriminierung #WahlCH23 @PolSciUnibas @Blickch https://t.co/8oeqkKueMo

We belief that our study is important to better understand party behavior toward minority candidates and to identify means to increase representation of minorities. 5/6
