I have been selected for the 2023 NSF Graduate Research Fellowship!!!!!! This will allow me to pursue a master’s starting this fall with comfort! . The long nights and tears I spent in the middle of a research cruise writing this application were well worth it!.#NSFGRFP

Everyone needs more #larvae in their life! I just finished digitizing 31 larval (and juvenile) types and made them available as stickers. These were inspired by plankton sorting on research cruises in the Gulf of Mexico studying cold seeps. #bio #stickers

The Larval Lab is back at sea for our #Biofilms4Larvae project studying the role of bacterial biofilms on larval settlement at #vents along the EPR! . We just left Puntarenas and we’ll be at sea for all of December. Follow our research blog!

Thanks to the amazing crew on the R/V Atlantis we were able to respond to a fishing vessel’s mayday call. The ship sunk but we were able to get their crew onto another vessel heading to shore. Glad we were nearby to help!.
