Genuine question: When was the last time you felt truly aligned with your work? Our first guest on Free Spirits, @AaronJNosbisch (founder of @drinkbrez), said something that stuck: "I spent most of my life searching for that feeling. Almost gave up believing it existed. Then

The time to deschedule cannabis is now. Seniors across multiple states that don't have dispensaries will lose access to the cannabis products they depend on in 359 days.
Are you paying attention? American's are speaking. @SecKennedy @POTUS @WhiteHouse @SusieWiles @AGPamBondi $MSOS The time to reschedule cannabis is now.

So far the reaction to my Op Ed has been pretty excited from the hemp business community and fairly quiet from the marijuana business community. Was kind of expecting the reverse.

I am old enough to remember when BFCM were 2 days, maybe a weekend, but with legit and insane discounts - 50%+ off deals. Now BFCM is like the entirety of November and early December and it's like 10-25% max. Let's remove the magic and optimize everything.

What’s interesting is half the alcohol industry is lobbying against THC drinks in hopes of regaining the revenue they’ve been losing rapidly, and the other half realizes it’s not coming back and is lobbying in support of THC drinks so they can continue to replace and recover that
This is why the politicians are pushing to limit THC drinks. It's all about shelf space. This entire aisle, once for beer, is now all THC drinks. The big alcohol companies can't compete in the marketplace so they get politicians to do their bidding. That's not the way free market

Happy Monday. Shock has passed; now it's time to get to work proper. We're gonna legalize cannabis in this country for all and save access for millions of Americans.

My toxic trait and my green flag is that I think money is replaceable and we should spend it on cool shit.

Alcohol is objectively worse for you health than THC products - so the new ban obviously isn’t about what’s best for society

It's wild how much of business is simply "I like you, so I am going to help/give you favorable terms" & "I don't like you or you offended me with this random thing so I am never going to tell you why but I will never work with you and tell others to also not work with you"

This has been such a wild week for @drinkbrez and all of Hemp/Cannabis. Some context: hemp-derived cannabinoids are currently the only way to access THC/CBD nationally across state lines vs. the intrastate “marijuana” system (even though it’s all cannabis). So what happened? A

When the news cycle gets loud, panic is the easiest reaction — and the worst strategy. The next few days will feel chaotic. But the smart move is simple: Talk to your supply chain. Talk to your consumers. Keep everything steady while the dust settles in D.C. Clear heads make

There are bad actors in this industry and they make it harder for the responsible operators doing it right. Products mimicking Oreos, Skittles, Doritos… untested, mislabeled, and sold to anyone with cash in hand. That’s the real problem regulators are reacting to. Everyone in

Martha's point is valid although the market will not be dead until NEXT Christmas, 2026 - i just dont want to confuse people
Nothing says conservative values more than killing a $23 billion dollar industry right before Christmas. “Republicans” go ahead and make Hemp illegal… I bet that’s gonna make people super excited to vote for you. @HouseGOP @SenateGOP @WhiteHouse @realDonaldTrump

In absolutely ZERO ways has legalization of marijuana been bad. Opioid use and abuse is down in legal states. Crime rates not linked to legalization. Are the negative side effects of THC use? yeah, duh. Everything can be negative. But the benefits have far outweighed the
@jfberke It worked better than what we have now. No solution is perfect but legalization has been a disaster. And this is coming from a libertarian who used to think all drugs should be legalized.

No one is saying cannabis doesn't have risks. We are saying, however, that effective policy balances those risks with the research, criminal justice, and economic benefits of legalization. Blanket prohibition, which is Berenson's clear standpoint, doesn't work.
This one is really triggering the heads. No surprise, the clearer the evidence their favorite drug is dangerous, the madder they get
