As you watch the madness unfold with KD, Kyrie, Harden, Simmons, Ayton etc, understand the value of
@StephenCurry30
. The rare superstar who thinks TEAM before himself. Impossible to quantity how much his attitude & leadership are worth to the Warriors
The Warriors will go through with the Gary Payton II four-team trade, sources tell
@TheAthletic
@Stadium
. Golden State will not pass Payton's physical exam, sources said, but has decided to move forward with deal that brings back the key 2022 championship piece.
A's owner John Fisher did a couple of interviews with "team-friendly" media outlets about moving the A's to Vegas. The cheapest owner in MLB does not want to answer the hard questions, but if he wants to do a live interview on ABC7, I promise to be nice.
The A’s have been a minor league operation for years, run by a billionaire who wants handouts, from revenue sharing to government tax dollars. The soccer team he owns has been a penny-pinching embarrassment. Vegas should get an expansion team & Fisher forced to sell locally.
#BREAKING
sources tell ABC7 the
#Raiders
are now in negotiations with Coliseum officials to play in Oakland next season.. It’s the first talks they’ve had since the lawsuit was announced in December
John Fisher decides NOW is the time to do interviews with “select” media. Selected to produce softball questions. Interesting timing: is Vegas deal in jeopardy, are other MLB owners hearing SELL THE TEAM chants all over the country? Why else would Mr INVISIBLE suddenly appear?
An NSEA spokesperson said: "Schools Over Stadiums is committed to pursuing every possible path to stop the use of public funds to subsidize a billionaire’s stadium. This includes litigation as well as giving Nevadans the opportunity to vote to stop this misguided project."
Draymond’s suspension could have wrecked the Warriors season. Instead TJD, Podziemsk, Kuminga & Klay have elevated their games. Now the Dubs have won 5 in a row heading into Xmas morning matchup with Nuggets on ABC7.
The more Vegas learns about how John Fisher has driven the A's into the ground, opposition to public funding for a stadium will keep growing. Meanwhile, there are at least 2 potential ownership groups in Oakland ready to bid & build if/when Fisher decides or is forced to sell
A new poll found that statewide support for publicly funding the A’s relocation to Las Vegas was 41%.
But broken out by region, the A’s saw 44% support in Clark County, 38% in rural Nevada and 29% in Washoe County.
@tabitha_mueller
reports:
While today's MLB owners vote is a huge disappointment for A's fans, keep in mind John Fisher has never actually been able to get a shovel in the ground in Oakland, Fremont or San Jose. Still no ballpark renderings & no financing plan for a project that gets more expensive daily
Simpler solution: Sell the A’s to Joe Lacob who would build a stadium quickly, keep top talent & restore respect to the A’s brand, which Fisher has destroyed.
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred not only doubts the Oakland Athletics could build a new ballpark in Oakland, he’s willing to allow owner John Fisher to flee to Las Vegas free of charge.

We have all shown this clip a zillion times. And the focus is on the consequences of Draymond’s outburst. What gets overlooked is the reason Draymond exploded: It was November & teammates believed KD had already decided to leave. So guys were wondering: are you really with us?
This is a review that should take about 2 minutes. Poole is trying to steal the ball, does help knock it loose & on the 2nd swipe, his hand hits Ja’s knee. Unfortunate that Ja got hurt but it’s a routine basketball play. No flagrant called on the court. Move onto game 4.
More film work and decisions for the league office on Jordan Poole’s reach and apparent grabbing of Ja Morant’s right knee. Morant is undergoing evaluation now after leaving game with a limp.
Durant ejected just before halftime after arguing a no-call with ref. KD may have deserved a T for language but 19,000 fans don't show up to watch a ref blow a whistle
Why the commissioner continues to support an owner who has run his franchise into the ground REPEATEDLY is a mystery. Fisher has zero interest in winning. He’s held A’s fans as hostages for too long.
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said Monday he sees “real momentum” for the A’s to potentially move to Las Vegas while noting it is not a done deal. Manfred said he feels “sorry for the fans in Oakland” but denied the team is using the city as leverage:
taking one moment away from NBA to celebrate the Hawaii men's volleyball team, beating Long Beach in 3 sets. NATIONAL CHAMPIONS AGAIN.
Aloha Means Champions!
Final thought on this tonight. If a strong local ownership group came forward in Oakland, would MLB force Fisher to sell to keep the team here? Just like the deal that kept the Giants in SF? Zuck, do you want a baseball team?
Looking at Durant video after he went down. He very clearly is holding his Achilles, not his calf.
#warriors
have been saying calf injury since KD initially got hurt
@LarryBeilABC7
Good Day. A humble request.
Is it possible for you or ABC 7 SF to post on Twitter the 4 on 4 segment? Specifically your comments on the Trevor May Twitch post.
Thank you.
If “yes” is inevitable, I’d love to see mlb owners say yes on relocation but no on waiving relocation fees. That would cripple an already questionable deal and perhaps force Fisher to sell.
Feels more like a “vote yes so they can keep going down the path” situation. A no vote would nuke the whole thing. They still have a lot of work to do.
This is how a championship organization operates. The
#Warriors
Foundation (with owners & players chipping in) has increased its contribution from $1 million to $1.4 for part-time employees who work home games. That's about $1,000 per person. CHAMPIONS on & off the court.
@OakStadiumWatch
@ThompsonScribe
I hate the way the A’s do business but many of the objections to the HT proposal are completely bogus. The team is not taking $ from police or schools. Quite the opposite. The stadium could help fund both if it ever gets built.
So
#Raiders
owner Mark Davis thought he could bluff the city of Oakland out of filing lawsuit. Now he’s got to scramble to find a new stadium for a year. Whether it’s AT&T or Levi’s, he will inevitably be forced to overpay while inconveniencing his team and fans. Brilliant.
The A’s are a poorly run franchise. But they made an offer to Oakland. The city council came back & insisted the A’s accept their counteroffer. A’s agree only to learn Oakland can’t come up with the $ the city promised for infrastructure.
Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao says in statement the City of Oakland is "ceasing negotiations" with the A's and "moving forward on alternatives for the redevelopment of Howard Terminal."
As soon as Governor Lombardo’s pen hits paper approving this MLB deal, look for
#Athletics
owner John Fisher to put a stake in the team’s ownership up for sale. I’d be willing to bet he looks for assistance funding the ballpark.
If you can assemble a staff with June Jones as head coach, Miano as DC, Timmy Chang as OC you have a Dream Team to restore
#hawaiifb
. And in a few years, June passes the baton to one of his assistants, continuing the momentum. We don’t need to overthink this.
Yeah, Fisher is enigmatic and reclusive. But his old money San Francisco upbringing probably best explains his apathy toward Oakland and A's fans.
A family of Giants fans doesn't care about the Oakland A's. It's devastating that MLB sat back and watched him destroy the team.
After an agonizingly long meeting, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors votes to go forward with
#Athletics
proposed stadium at Howard Terminal. This is a non-binding vote but allows the project to proceed.
I don’t believe the rumors about Tom Brady coming to the
#49ers
. One odd thing about this scenario: Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo: both are represented by agent Don Yee.
@ecarino68
At least 2. If the team went up for sale, more groups would emerge. Oakland can support a team. Look at Warriors under Cohan vs Warriors under Lacob ownership. Bad owners kill franchises.
What happened to the Pac-12? A series of catastrophically bad hires, and somehow even worse decisions over the years that has left the Conference of Champions on life support.
This is a sad time for those who love
#hawaiifb
. Losing true Warriors like Darius is beyond frustrating. We all know how this situation gets fixed, the question is when.
Really do not like Kyle’s game plan for Lance. Where are bubble screens and short quick passes to give a rookie qb confidence? On 4th & 1, you roll him out and throw across his body into traffic. 🙄
@Rjeff24
@Kenny_Mayne
Nope. Love that Jimmy has the guts to take it but he’s tired after carrying Miami for 7 games. Better to attack Horford off the dribble.
I can’t even express how sad I am hearing this news. Robert was my intern at KGMB, tireless worker. Grinded away for years to get an opportunity and became a beloved broadcaster in Hawaii. Huge loss of a wonderful man. RIP Robert.
Hawaii legend Robert Kekaula has passed away. Talented sportscaster, gifted musician, awesome family man, great friend and mentor. Rest in aloha.

When you look at Kyrie in Cleveland/Boston, AD in NO or LA & KD in OKC/GS and maybe NY, the
#Warriors
should be thankful every day they have
@StephenCurry30
. The man is a rock of stability for his franchise.
Durant to Nets has triggered a stunning overhaul of
#warriors
roster. DeAngelo Russell arrives, Iguodala exits. Looney may be gone as well. It’s the end of this era as we knew it
This is the best move possible for all. Graham was not going to be able to go forward with so many of UH's best players leaving, leading to the inability to recruit locally. Credit to coach for resigning instead of a protracted fight for buyout money.
Hmmmm. Antonio Brown to Patriots just hours after
#raiders
cut him. Makes you wonder if AB & Rosenhaus knew it wouldn’t work out in Oakland, so AB acted cuckoo like he did in Pitt forcing Gruden to release him. And just maybe Belichick whispered Pats interest a while ago 🤔
