A number of our second year students started their TAP Scholars Ireland Programme today with their tutor Lydia Whittaker 😊😊😊 Over the next few weeks the students are going to be learning all about “Why Volcanoes go Boom”. 🌋

A brilliant awards ceremony was organised by Ms O’Higgins to celebrate her fantastic 2nd years first term back. Some of those categories that were recognised this time were: football, literacy, leadership, attendance, summer reports 2025 and much more 📖⚽️✅. Well done all!

To finish the first term with a bang TYs went to Astro Park Tallaght to hone their fitness and teamwork skills. Some TYs even managed to stay on their feet (most didn’t!) 🤪

Sean McDermott Street swimming pool is free for under 16s over the midterm. A great excuse to get out and getting moving. Something different to do with your friends over the break 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

@dublin_bay_cycling_club organise group cycling sessions every Sunday. They meet in the car park at St. Anne’s Park at 9.00am sharp ⏰. It is open to cyclists of all levels. Students must have their own bike and a helmet🚴. A road bike or hybrid is probably most suitable.

The student council are hosting this years spooky bingo , renamed to “boo bingo” 🎃👻 It will take place at lunch time on Friday to celebrate the last day of the first term. There will be prizes for winners! 🏆🎁

TY students took part in their final workshop with @arthurcoxlaw firm. Learning all about Employment law. Thank you to all the wonderful facilitators from Arthur Cox who delivered fantastic workshops over the last 5 weeks. Lots of learning experienced by students about the law 👨‍⚖️

Our first Student Council 25/26 meeting at LCC! Our team received their pins and engaged in an induction meeting with the school principal, Mr Usher and Ms Crowe 🗳️. Those that have joined our team are aiming to represent their year groups and student body as best as possible ☺️

On the 12th Oct, Daniel Coughlan left us. A much-loved student at Larkin Community College and past student of the year 💕We remember his beautiful sister Rachel too, who predeceased him. We are holding the Coughlan family and his community in our hearts at this sad time 💛💛
