St Annes Old Links is a 6907 yard, Par 72 Championship Links course. Founded in 1901 it is one of the fine championship courses of Lancashire’s coast. The Old Links is regularly voted in the Top 100 courses in England.

A crowd funder has begun to try to save @TheWorldOfGlass in #StHelens. They are trying to raise £50k, which doesn't seem enough to save such a facility on the brink of closure. However, we wish them well and are happy to link to the crowdfunding page:

Butts Mill is a Grade II listed building in Leigh. It was built in 1905 by Stott and Sons of Oldham. This cotton spinning mill was originally designed as a double mill and has one wall unfinished, as the mirror half of the mill was never built. #Lancashire
