SANDBAGS: All sandbag locations are open and will stay open until further notice. Self fill sites please - bring your own shovel. Elderly and disabled will be able to pick up 25 prefilled bags per address at our Field Offices only.

Lafourche Parish Government Offices are closed today in Observance of Labor Day. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, September 3 at 7AM.
Today we want to thank all of our Parish workers for their continued service to the community. We wish everyone a happy and relaxing Labor Day!

Three years ago today, Lafourche Parish was heavily damaged by Hurricane Ida. Its destruction has forever left a mark on our Parish and its People. Today let us not only look back on the bad but look forward to what is to come for Lafourche Parish as we continue to rebuild.

UPDATE: 08/27/2024 at 10:52 AM Repairs have been completed and the bridge is open to vehicular traffic.
The Galliano Pontoon Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The Department of Public Works will be doing necessary repairs to the bridge deck.
