1/ The Labour Party should stand on the side of marginalised groups, even when politically inconvenient. That means not uncritically engaging with reports with questionable methodology, especially where doing so threatens the dignity and health of so many vulnerable people.

... want to say this: Cricklewood is not a hateful place, this horrific attacker does not define us. When I walk down the street and smile at people, they smile back. When I talk to people on the doorstep in my local area, they don't care about my gender or presentation.

This is a vital moment in the fight for trans rights, and the only national trans officer in the Labour Party is a hugely significant position in that struggle. Please do consider nominating me and lending me your vote.

No matter who wins, members deserve to have their voices heard and have an accountable, collaborative committee. One that works across factions to deliver a Labour government and the change that young people and students desperately need. I'm proud to stand on that platform.

To truly democratise Labour Students and Young Labour and make them more inclusive organisations, we need a better committee culture. This is our plan to achieve it: 👇

Disgusting to see this in my local area - and in the most Jewish constituency in the country. How does defacing the images of children help innocent civilians suffering in Gaza?

The Gender Recognition Act was a groundbreaking piece of Labour legislation, but we've gone 20 years without meaningfully updating it.

I've witnessed first-hand what a force of nature Lundy is — on the campaign trail in Brighton & Hove when she stood last year, and as a key player in @bh_younglabour . If you're in the South East, do consider nominating her at your next CLP/YL Branch meeting!

With a General Election looming, the South East could be the make or break in a Labour victory. With me as Chair of South East Young Labour, we will be ready and organised for that fight ✊🌹 Pledges ⬇️

To those who would seek to exclude us: Trans+ people are not going anywhere. LGBT+ Labour is not going anywhere. We've been campaigning for equality since 1975, are we aren't stopping any time soon.

This is a fight for our whole community not just one part of it. There is no LGB without the T. This is our, collective fight. We will fight and fight and fight again for your right to be you, both within the Labour Party and outside of it.

The last couple of days have shown just how desperately we need a Labour Party that stands up to transphobia, and a Labour government that delivers on trans rights. Here's how I want to help make that a reality ⬇️

I'm standing to be your next Labour Students Trans Officer. At a time of rising hate crime and political vitriol, it is more important than ever that we have a vocal student movement within Labour fighting for our rights. Here are my priorities for delivering that... 🧵

Great to see @Sud3nazTop recognise the importance of making London Young Labour a safe space for all, especially as the LGBT+ Officer for a London CLP.* Looking forward to working with her on this when she's elected. Please do nominate her at your next CLP/YL Branch meeting!

Lastly, no form of hatred belongs in the Labour Party and I will strive to make LYL a safe space for all. As a BAME woman, i have faced unacceptable harassment that no member should experience. To tackle this, i will work with the officers mentioned to prioritise safeguarding.

Great to have the support of @isla_wrathmell . At a time when trans people are increasingly being villified and pushed out of politics, having councillors like Isla, who are amazing representatives in their own right, is so important.
