研究者の有期労働契約が10年を超えれば無期雇用に転換できるルールについて、毎日新聞が全国の国立大にアンケートしたところ、日本の研究力低下の要因になっていると半数近くの大学が答えた。このルールが結果的に無期雇用への転換を阻む雇い止めにつながり、キャリアを積めない研究者を多く生み出したとされるためだ。
