Don't buy false view that TX R gerrymander counts on continued improvement for Rs w/ Hisps. In fact, each of the Hisp majority districts are drawn so that Rs can win even if only getting 40% or so of Hisp vote. It was close in CD9 so they amended the map to weaken Hisp vote more.
