Dustmen working in Erith last wk rescued an elderly man who had collapsed. They wrapped him in a foil blanket & coat & stayed with him until an ambulance arrived. The 82-year-old had gone missing from his family home & thx to their actions is now recovered & home from hospital.
Bexley has decided not to continue with discussions about the proposal for a large-scale music event 'Dream Valley' in Danson Park on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 May.

Bexley is making free parking across the borough to key workers during the Coronavirus pandemic, inc those employed by the police and other emergency services, carers and volunteers who are using their vehicle to help the community.
We’ve secured National Lottery funding to restore the entire Grade II listed Old Carnegie Library in Erith. We’ll restore the upper 2 floors of unused space and the Central Hall for community-led activities & create a garden for local children and families
Litter enforcement will return today. On the spot fixed penalty notices of £150 will be issued to anyone caught littering or not clearing up after their dogs.
The High Court has confirmed that the ULEZ Judicial Review by a coalition of councils into the proposed expansion of the ULEZ will take place on 4 & 5 July.
The Judge will decide whether to release Judgement on 5 July or reserve judgment to a later date.

World Earth Day 22.04- 25 volunteers litter picked the Thames foreshore in Erith. In 2 hours they managed to collect 1380 plastic bottles! With a further 29 bags of rubbish and 26 large items collected. Good people doing great things for our planet!
