Kilian watches the door silently as Val and Rosie talk on the other side of the room. Gentle sobbing, whispered apologies from both sides, with Val vehemently denying the need for Rosie's. He hates that this is happening. He hates that they had to go through this again.

But like any older brother should, he guides her through taking care of herself and getting rid of blood-stained clothing. Knots combed out of her hair, gently pulled up into a loose bun atop her head. By the time she's done, all she wants to do is hold her daughter.

Kilian watched as Noel leaves, sighing as the door closes behind them. He's quick to get to workโRosie sits idly in the room as Kilian directs Valerie into the shower. She's still detached and having a difficult time focusing. Due in part, he's sure, to being extremely tired.
Noel recognizes that knock from anywhere. They're quick to open the door and usher the pair inside, a brief tossed to Kilian that can only be read as a silent thank you. "He's just getting up. . . I'll leave him in your care. I need to grab them something to eat.

He called Noel at least an hour ago when they were closer. Rosie's knock to the door is a gentle one, with a shaking hand.

Hours pass before Kilian and Rosie arrive. He holds a small suitcase under one arm, and Rosie's hand in his. It's only a fraction of Valerie's wardrobe, but it will do for where he's staying for now. Kilian will have to dispose of what she was wearing last night.
