Some choice shots I did during my time on #Rocketeer on @disneyplus. I learned a lot from this show and hearing all the music and effects they added afterwards was really cool!. I finally have a pinned tweet. like a real animator!

over there they had a big room with props and everything. you could easily send whatever you wanted to your folder and then access that folder at your desk. being new, i was always pressed for time so i didnt use it as much as i could have. always regretted that!.

ive only ever worked in 1 studio that even had a dedicated recording room, the rest were all cramped offices and one dark hot cave i was banished to for a couple years. the only show i could easily make recorded reference for was my first, the 3d bob the builder lol

this always make me jelly. in tv we dont have the time to not only record and edit reference together but but to also rope in other animators to help and explore lots of ideas. film animation is really special and this kind of work is truly inspiring.

learning about the thing you really care about and gives you joy is tantamount to ripping off a piece of your body. no wonder fandoms are plagued with small but loud ignoramuses farting up the space, learning about their favorite medium is actually painful apparently

anyone remember where "animation studios are like a ship" came from? i remember being shown a big illustration where all the different parts of the ship are different parts of an animation pipeline but i cant find it and google is dogshit now.

the *second* you get a *really strong opinion* about a cartoon you should learn how theyre made or youll be a net negative to the community as a whole.
