Some choice shots I did during my time on #Rocketeer on @disneyplus. I learned a lot from this show and hearing all the music and effects they added afterwards was really cool! I finally have a pinned tweet... like a real animator!

almost makes me appreciate the pieces of shit who brag about how much work they arent doing when they show exactly how little they do to make their "work", the ones who gleefully declare that artists are obsolete and shit. almost lol

proponents use a lot of flowery language theyve heard real artists use when they achieve anything resembling wide public engagement they hide everything they can and larp being character designers by pretending to draw on what is clearly a single layer the theft robot horked out

the whole coke thing is exposing how even a/i's most ardent defenders cannot deny that the entire appeal of art is the human touch, as evidenced by all the effort the "creators" have put into faking drawing the character designs and whatnot if it's such a good tool why lie?

Tucked away in the #Pluribus credits, it reads, “This show was made by humans.” “I hate AI,” creator Vince Gilligan told Variety with a chuckle. “AI is the world’s most expensive and energy-intensive plagiarism machine. I think there’s a very high possibility that this is all a

They generated 70,000 clips to be able to cobble together 52 of them. They need basically the entirety of humanity's creative output to essentially sling slop at the wall and see what you're willing to choke down. Creatively bereft, legally dangerous, and morally bankrupt.
The Coca-Cola Christmas ad, made with AI, used at least eight AI models known to be trained on copyrighted work without permission. This is a huge middle finger to the artists whose work these models exploit, at scale, for huge commercial gain. cc @CocaCola

because animation gets nothing for free every single tiny thing you see was obsessed over by someone, was brought to life for a specific purpose. and because animation is the study of motion it really makes any *lack* of motion stand out. what *isnt* moving in a shot and why?

there's the easily understood appreciation of big bombastic movement and camera work and then there's the more subtle lizard brain appreciation of an ostensibly banal scene that is in fact so well-observed and carefully rendered that you cant help but mentally inhabit that space
‘Grattachecca’, the animated short by @anikestudio with backgrounds from @Alariko_, has reached its goal on Kickstarter. The project has 10 days left to reach more goals, support: https://t.co/3ylKmqJonQ

between many of the conversations happening to and around colonel shikishima with various people in power/behind the scenes and kei just kind of stating what's going on a couple times id say that the film is all-too-willing to explain itself lol

pretty interesting that much of the discussion under this tweet centers around how akira the film is too dense and difficult to understand in comparison to the manga while it obviously couldnt get it all in there, i thought it still did a pretty good job paraphrasing it
Akira is an intersting case of a movie being referenced for decades based purely on aesthetics and not the contents of the work itself.

I animated a runcycle with klukai from GFL2, definitly should practice those more!, but i had a lot of fun, and ended up adding abit more to it, mostly to toy around with layers. full cycle at the end.

others in the choices have moments of brilliance throughout. but i can never get passed how the women are there to be oggled first and to have rich inner-lives with their own shit going on second nico robin for life because she killed a man for fucking with native artifacts

tough because theyre all kinda bad lol creepy designs/cameras and the ruthless backseating shonen is known for when their casts get way too big, *especially* for female characters only on chapter 568 of one piece but i think it's the clear winner here though
