Mmmm. not really. The content of your masters isn't just the recording of the song as a whole. It could be the vocals, it could be the be beat, it could be an 'eugh-eugh'. Many 'masters' have sold in their millions without the original artist lifting a finger. That's power.
Owning your masters means nothing if the music not selling tho 😭.

Also I had a cut on a number 1 album last year. Quiet but never silent lol.
I'm good. I took a pause from music at just the right time for my wellbeing, my fans still listen to enough of my music that I can live a good life and that's given me the freedom to use my spare time to do some good in the world while I get back to music. I love them for that.
