Someone reminded me this today and its a good opprotunity to repost. I think some of you might enjoy this "little" rant. The only thing that changed in those 6 years is that I now avoid for-profit conferences like fire.
On Saturday I attended the worst organized conference ever. Could you imagine a single even can screw up 16 different things? So here it comes: . How not to organize a conference. A thread. And a rant. If you're conf organizer, please, do me a favor and read.

2 weeks later: Italy declares culinary jihad with Poland. Btw. yes, strawberry pasta is real. I loved it as a kid, my kids love it, I still love it ๐
.
Iga Swiatek after winning Wimbledon:. "Well, I just received a text from the Italian Open tournament director and he said cause I won they will be adding strawberry pasta to the menu next year. I hope Italians don't hate me."

He's not wrong.
@987Nabil @code_typist @adamhearn_ I guess that's the point: tooling can get much better much faster than a language. I'd say TS would need a couple of decades to get even close to Scala.

People who think that TS + @EffectTS_ is anything like Scala are up for a bad surprise. Not because the language or Effect is bad. Nope, they are probably as good as they can be under their constraints. It will be because the broader TS/JS ecosystem is full of lying,.
