Vikings put up 7.0 yards per play and allowed 4.9 yards per play, but lost. There have only been 13 games in the last 10 years in the NFL with the losing team >7 YPP and winning team <5 YPP. Kirk Cousins has been the losing QB in 3 such games since 2013. Kryptonite.

I call shenanigans — the refs were atrocious today, and the mistakes were one-sided. All this plus a bogus holding call on Darrisaw, a soft “horsecollar” flag on Kendricks, the iffy OPI on Hockenson, and multiple non-calls on Bills DBs for contact at the catch point.

KOC's scheme isn't too difficult, the Vikings backup QBs just aren't very good

I'm not going to go through every play from last night, but since we've all made a big deal (myself included) about the extent to which easy throws have been made available to Vikings QBs, here are Jaren Hall's first 3 dropbacks. Open crosses each time. No throw. Rookie QB.

Jim Harbaugh called Michigan to inform the school that, despite interviewing with the Vikings today, he will be returning to school for the 2022 season, sources tell ESPN. Michigan was, in the words of one source, “elated” to get Harbaugh’s decision.

2020 Vikings passing offense, 4th quarter: 8.8 net yards per play (1st in NFL) 46.1% of plays result in 1st downs (1st) 9 TDs (2nd) 1 INT (2nd fewest) 134.3 passer rating for Cousins (1st) ...that’s not “terrible late in games”.

@ilikebigdecks @Jimmy33Weber @PaulCharchian Sunday wasn’t his fault. But let me indulge here... By your logic, once you take the lead, your work is done? Football games go back and forth. Offenses move the ball. The Vikings offense is terrible late in games. Period.

Kirk Cousins is now PFF's 6th highest graded QB, both overall and by passing grade, behind only Rodgers, Wilson, Brady, Mahomes and Watson. Vikings fans will eventually look back on 2020 and complain that the team "wasted a year of Cousins in his prime".
