A full-throttled rollback of federal regulations on industrial emissions might not be uniformly welcome in Wyoming, particularly in Pinedale where residents struggled for years before convincing regulators and industry to address a health threat. @WyoFile

U.S. Rep. Hageman's comment didn't go over well in Pinedale, where residents struggled for years to clean up health-threatening pollution from oil and gas drilling.

1.5 yrs ago, Cody Roberts brought a wounded wolf into a bar & drew international disgust. Leniency of the punishment—a $250 fine—stoked the outrage. Now, a grand jury has convened that could indict him for felony animal cruelty. The scoop for @WyoFile. https://t.co/68yPqiJ5fh

Humans can sure do a number (2) on alpine environments. Here's a case in point: Wyoming's Lonesome Lake, stunning and remote as it is, was more polluted with fecal bacteria that any of the other 981 lakes @EPA sampled for its National Lakes Assessment! https://t.co/Z2pLCyy17p

From 2014 to '24, the share of Wyoming residents who believe climate change is happening jumped from 55% to 86%. “That’s a huge change in 10 years. There is worry and there is a desire for action.” -Kristen Landreville @DBleizeffer story for @WyoFile. https://t.co/YVOOOAlSXe

SCOOP: Huge news for western states. The Senate parliamentarian has ruled that Sen. Mike Lee’s proposal to allow the sale of millions of acres of federal land fails to comply with the Byrd Rule. Montana/Idaho GOP senators have said they oppose it as well. I’m told this decision

And here's a perhaps less surprising take from a Jackson Hole entrepreneur who puts U.S. @RepHageman on blast for supporting the sale of public lands that are integral to the lives of her constituents. https://t.co/Ugk8gWTUIr

In Wyoming, ALL reaches of the political spectrum are lining up against @SenMikeLee's bid to sell off ~3M acres of the public's land. Here's a take from extremely MAGA (Jan. 6 participant) oil and gas executive state representative Mike Schmid. https://t.co/jKV4grs8FO

Love me a good longevity record story. The latest: Wolf 840M breaks Wyoming's age record, nears the all-time species record, and does it while living on the fringe of subdivisions in Teton Valley, Idaho. “Super savvy wolf,” @WGFD's Ken Mills said. https://t.co/Ehup6aAIyM

New: Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-Mont.) tells me that he believes the provision mandating the sale of public lands in Nevada and Utah has been stripped out and will be reflected in the managers amendment. Zinke had said this was a redline . Nevada GOP Rep Mark Amodei was pushing for it.

Are "elk-occupancy agreements" the future? Maybe. “In the early days of wolf recovery... [livestock] compensation was novel—an innovation that Defenders of Wildlife was doing with private money. Now we think of it as standard practice.” -Arthur Middleton https://t.co/sdTrST7KSf

A reader just alerted me that this Canadian-turned-Colorado wolf was killed near Wheatland, Wyoming. There could've been disperers since the Yellowstone reintro in '95, but if not it was probably the first wolf in the Laramie Mountains in a century-plus! https://t.co/5j0V3jhU8I
