In Nature Electronics, we present BISC with Ken Shepard, @peabody124 & others: an ultrathin brain–computer interface chip with 65,536 electrodes, 1,024 channels, and ~100× higher bandwidth at 100 Mbit/s. A bidirectional platform toward future neocortex–AI 'exocortex' systems.

There's a spirit of revival stirring in America. Dinesh D'Souza's new film, The Dragon's Prophecy, is part of that movement. Based on Jonathan Cahn's No.1 bestseller, the film reveals how war, politics and the Bible converge in a way that we need to make a choice. Watch on GJW+.

We just dropped a 12 page AI report on how ~500 execs at US enterprises use generative AI. I read it all so you don't have to. Top 8 takeaways: Anthropic is the #1 model provider in the enterprise, with 40% of ~$37B spend, with OpenAI dropping to #2. 1/8

We are reaching AI=6% of software spend and yoy increases are already tanking. Can we trust the data?

On overall AI spend. Generative AI has captured ~6% of software spend at $37B, growing ~3.2x YoY. Investments are coming to fruition and buyers are seeing results. 2/8

If we have multiple imperfect measures we probably should average because Bayes. I have not seen evidence that we overindex on either.

I heard so many discussions of this and the problem is that there is a huge real tradeoff. Bibliometrics measure the wrong thing, “visibility”. Letters and visits measure a different wrong thing including class and agreeableness. Both correlate to positive future science output.

This is amongst the worst takes ever. The opposition to citation counts, impact factor, h indexes etc… is that they are manifestly suck at measuring “merit” in any way that is correlated with what we should care about as a society in science. To the contrary, many of the most

You don't pick up a drill and ask it "what do you want to be today?" You point it, you pull the trigger. The constraint is the feature. I built a science planner around this philosophy. 10,000 scientists are using it now. Here's the thinking behind it.

Everyone is staring at the electric motor of our time: the Large Language Model. A text window that can do anything. But it is not great at anything. The problem isn't intelligence. It's UI/UX.
