Sad to hear this, a life well lived. Enjoyed getting to breakdown surgical dogma with him back in 2017. I only knew him through this app. But in this space he was a needed skeptic and a mentor of younger generations.
The Skeptical Scalpel passed away on June 19th, 2025. He died peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. You can read about a remarkable man's life well lived here ( . He will be missed by all who knew him.
