We haven’t really given up on this. Closed Weapons should just be normal Conquest, Rush and so on. Open weapons should be the secondary named modes. Open Conquest, rush etc. This is the OG battlefield experience and should be the mainstream experience.
By surrendering to an 'open weapons' default, Battlefield 6 is giving up the most special thing about Battlefield

Would love to see a lot of these movement gamers try some arma and see how well they do… or any other shooter that doesn’t have adderal baby pacing. @Battlefield has never been about movement. It’s always been about the gadgets, the guns, the vehicles, the maps.

It’s funny cause a lot of that “movement” was a bug with momentum causing things to happen too fast. They said it’s a bug. They’re fixing it and adjusting the pacing to be in line what a battlefield game is and alway was.
To the dismay of sweaty 'movement kids,' Battlefield 6 is nerfing Call of Duty sliding and jumping to maintain a 'traditional Battlefield experience'
