Battlefield players are so obsessed with CoD for some reason. They can't stop bringing it up every 5 minutes. Now they think that doing a 180 turn is "CoD-like".
@EndersFPS Yeah pretty dumb and kinda explains some of the turn around kills I’ve been experiencing. Way too COD-like.

I'm really not that interested in Multiplayer FPS games anymore. I played the Battlefield 6 beta for a few hours and then I went to play Monster Hunter Wilds instead. RIP.

The Battlefield 6 Open Beta has currently peaked at 324,000 players on Steam, which beats the highest peak of Battlefield 2042 on Steam of 107,000.

I don't know why Battlefield players keep bringing up CoD when discussing movement. Battlefield 4 had way more advanced movement than any CoD at the time. CoD wasn't the first to implement sweaty movement mechanics. Search up zou zou jumping in BF4.
@ExoGhost It's a good way to stop the Omni movement cucks from ruining our game so any mechanics that keeps battlefield away from cod is a good addition to me. If your health Regen stops while suppressed then you will also stop and cover for while.

People in the comments are defending suppression by arguing that LMGs would be worthless without it. If you plant yourself in a good position with an LMG and have decent aim, everyone is going to be afraid of peeking you. LMGs are strong and accurate. You don't need suppression.
I heard suppression prevents health regen in Battlefield 6. If that is the case, hate it lol. Suppression should be a visual effect, nothing more. Rewarding people for missing is never it.

The reason why the CoD cycle exists is because these games are a lot better after their "life cycle" ends. MW3 used to have strict SBMM and no content. Now it has lots of content and loose SBMM. It makes perfect sense to hold it to a high regard now, but not when it was still.
