What I learned from this post is that most people don’t undertand what a review is nor its purpose. Not shocking, especially now.

The reason why I want the above idea “we need more movies on black history that don’t center trauma” retired is because it is an ignorant take and reduces the entire genre of black film to trauma. Moreover, it also wants to avoid the reality of the existence of racial trauma.

I’m rewatching the RHOP episode where Wendy’s momma went in on her. It’s pretty clear Wendy set her momma up for a family moment on camera and it went left. Momma was like you too damn grown to be this naive. She’s right. But if I was Wendy, I would’ve cursed her back though.
