Fantastic to listen to ⁦@Nickmaskell1⁩’s incoming ⁦@BTSrespiratory⁩ presidential lecture “trials, training and tyres”. Thankfully the focus is on his research story, without too many Lycra-clad photos! ⁦@UKPleura#BTS2024

Subunit vaccines may be conjugate, recombinant or toxoid. Diptheria, Tetanus & Pertussis are toxoid vaccines. Toxoids cause a strong immune responses, but are only possible for a small number of diseases https://t.co/1wbhs31lnv 10/n #RespEd #RespIsBest

mRNA vaccines are non-infectious, non-integrating so there is no potential risk of infection or insertional mutagenesis. They can be produced cheaply at scale. Pfizer/BioNTech & Moderna COVID vaccines are mRNA vaccines https://t.co/D8xcYb1KzH 9/n #RespEd #RespIsBest
