My Dad worked for Nigerian American Merchant Bank. In 1986, He was arrested for a fraud of $864000 in his bank and was taken from Alagbon to Geneva for the High Court hearing. His case was dismissed because his statement in alagbon was the same thing he wrote in Switzerland.
My Dad sold the car he used as a Taxi so I could pay my WAEC examination fee on deadline day.
It was an incredibly painful sacrifice because this affected him to a point where he had to leave Lagos and go back to the village to work in a bakery.
