Fantastic conference - experts from around the world gathered to discuss how we can maximize donor safety. ILTS Prez @NaziaSelzner did an amazing job as did the Scientific Chairs and #ILTS Vanguard Committee! So happy that #iLDLTG could be a part of it!.

Strong work by our @Penn_Transplant team - current allocation policies have increased our use of “outside” teams….even for DCDs. Similar outcomes if it is the “home team” or if outside team utilized.
There is no difference in DCD liver transplant outcomes whether the liver is recovered by surgeons from the recipient hospital or an unaffiliated surgical team.

Agree - how you address people matters. It shows respect and recognition. We should do it consistently no matter the gender.
Sadly, we still default to granting more respect to men than women. 8 studies: we're >2x as likely to call male politicians, athletes, teachers, and authors by their last names. It matters: surnames signal higher status. It's long past time to use consistent standards.
