I have just been informed that the highly respected Board of the Kennedy Center, some of the most successful people from all parts of the world, have just voted unanimously to rename the Kennedy Center to the Trump-Kennedy Center, because of the unbelievable work President Trump

I actively dislike Jon Voight as an actor but he understood the assignment by not trying to understand the assignment. Shia comes off as insane because he actually cares about the insane line of work he’s chosen. Both methods work well with Coppola’s manic-depressiveness.

Hard disagree. Gosling was winking at the camera the whole time. LaBeouf (the most locked-in) and Voight (the most relaxed) were the best performances in the movie, hands down.
Megadoc shows footage from previous attempts at making Megalopolis, and there are scenes of Ryan Gosling performing what would become the Shia LaBeouf role, and never in history has a downgrade been documented so clearly

Some Rob Reiner trivia, when Damon/Affleck wrote “Good Will Hunting” nearly the entire movie was about South Boston miscreants tricking & evading the NSA (whence that famous speech) Reiner told them to focus on the therapy angle instead, and later a blockbuster was born. RIP
Rob Reiner directed the best American romcom (When Harry Met Sally), the best coming-of-age film (Stand By Me), the best fantasy comedy (Princess Bride), the best mockumentary (This Is Spinal Tap), the best courtroom drama showdown (A Few Good Men). The best

RIP to the great Rob Reiner. STAND BY ME is a film that fundamentally changed me as a kid. It taught me that some friendships aren’t meant to last forever, but they matter forever. I watch it every year. Reiner is a legend. Here he is on how STAND BY ME changed him forever.

This is a really nice moment where Rob Reiner reflects on Stand By Me as the film that meant the most to him, and talks about what it meant to Stephen King, whose story inspired it.

An anecdote I cherish is Mandy Patinkin once asked Rob Reiner what The Princess Bride was about. Reiner said it’s about a grandfather telling his grandson that the most important thing in in the world is love. I think that’s beautiful.

If you like the pitch clock you hate baseball and are possibly even a fascist. Worrying about getting your time wasted is also Broke Mindset
EEPHUS is such a special film. It’s made for the people who don’t need the pitch clock to adore the game and one that knows that life, like baseball, isn’t actually made to a clock. It’s the movement and rhythms of the mundane made beautiful.
