@FosBbrake - Our parish council's need to stop this keeping their lease on Stratfield Brake. Let's not piss our community sports facilities away. We don't need to wait for detailed plans to know the downsides of living alongside a major sporting venue. JUST SAY NO THANKS OUFC
Don't want to tar all OUFC fans with the same brush, but this is just one quite vile example from the Yellows Forum, taken from a thread about their planned new stadium in Kidlington:

All big sports stadiums have a major effect on the local area. That's why they've largely stopped building them close to residential areas. That's another reason for OUFC to stay at Kassam.
OUFC's stadium will radically change our area with hoards of descending fans. There's a reason these articles are written. Just saying.

Oxfordshire County Council bought Stratfield Brake (yellow) to make sure it stayed 'green belt'. It is now almost the last remaining open space separating us from merging with Oxford City. https://t.co/fUuE6eULFc

Please join us in objecting to Oxford United FC's plans for an 18,000 seater stadium and commercial complex on Green Belt at Stratfield Brake, Kidlington. Let's keep what's left of the Kidlington Gap ! https://t.co/PSqs3wLBuE
