Now a new generation of Lynch's will get a chance to wear these jerseys like their father's & grandfather's before them!!. These jersey are now available to order through our club shop.

During the late 70's, into the 80’s and even some of the underage 90's teams continued to use these donated jerseys. The last senior team to wear the Kilkenny style jerseys was 40 years ago, in the 1984 centenary county final with Kevin Lynch’s defeating Ballinascreen.

As Liam was getting out of the car he noticed a kit bag and enquired to its contents. In the bag was a set of Kilkenny jerseys. Paddy graciously told Liam to take the jerseys back to Dungiven, thus starting a tradition of Kevin Lynch’s teams lining out in the Kilkenny colours.

In 1978, Liam Hinphey was spending the week in Kilkenny during the run up to the All Ireland Final. After watching them train before they went into battle with Cork later that week Liam hitched a lift to Dublin with the Kilkenny secretary Paddy Grace.

Our Minor & u20 county players along with Ryan u20 manager & Eoghan, u17 coach. A great weekend for Derry hurling & now the u20’s play in the Leinster championship while the u17 start their Celtic challenge campaign.
