Great article about pioneer of the HAI field @sandra_mccune! I love the advice to others:. "Seize opportunities that come to you, take people with you, stay curious, watch your animals closely . and keep talking to and learning from anyone who shares your passion for animals".
Thanks to @VetRecord for asking me to share my career journey and to the many people who have helped me along the way. I couldn't have travelled it without them. An incredible journey from veterinary nursing to human-animal bond researcher

Counter-acting the "black dog bias", new study finds that people actually have a bias towards, rather than against, a black courthouse facility dog when pictured with a testifying witness (compared to a white dog or no dog). @AnthrozoosJ #facilitydogs.

We found that after 3 months, #servicedog partnership was associated with medium to large improvements in most areas of veterans' wellbeing, including self-reported and clinician-rated PTSD symptom severity, anxiety and depression, and quality of life.
