Yep. We ignore this skewed compensation ratio at our own risk. C-suite folks obviously deserve a good salary. But 344:1! That’s just absurd. It destabilizes society for folks at the top to make that much more than the average employee.

This is hopeful. Regime change makes strange bedfellows. Perhaps sectarian violence can be avoided and a broad coalition can help Syria transition to its next phase of government. Elections in 2026?

He’s unlikely to be in power much longer. But a hopeful sign that he’s being treated in a civil way. Let’s hope the new coalition can avoid bloody reprisals and build a stable government that respects the rights of all citizens. Call me a dreamer! #FreeSyria

My advice to journos covering Syria: this is a complex story to tell with a criminal regime, bad actors, foreign influence & uncertainty of what's to come. Tell complex stories, but center your stories in the agency of Syrians. It's their story, their country, their freedom.

@elonmusk Talk to Mr Putin who invaded Ukraine. Talk the the citizens of the Baltic States who know there next if Ukraine is consumed. What if we had just let Hitler gobble up Europe unopposed?
