Sec Goodman and Deputy Sec Lyons visited the future site of the Lewis Ridge pumped storage project in Bell County. The hydro storage facility will create 2,300 family-wage construction jobs and generate enough on-demand energy to power about 70,000 homes.

The Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves (OKNP) is actively involved in the conservation of the fringeless white orchid, a federally threatened species found in Ky. They are working on restoration projects to boost orchid populations and their associated wetland habitats.
