The high cost costs lives. Everyone with needlessly costly (and hard to obtain) tests keeps calculating, “Should I use it today or save it for when I might need it later but be unable to get one?” Rapid tests need to be freely available, especially in the indoor winter months.

The fact that you simply can’t, as a reality of nature, fight a pandemic as an individual based on your own individual choices alone, should show us all that none of us truly exists alone. Our fates truly are bound together. That reality should inform how we live going forward.

Air pollution kills an estimated ten million people each year. But it does much more than that, too. A long thread on what it means that more than 90 percent of the world's population is breathing dangerously polluted air. (1/x)

I’m frequently asked what gives me hope & courage. My answer is always this: it’s knowing that we wouldn’t have the freedoms we have now if it weren’t for the hope & courage of those who carried the banner before us. What’s been done before can be done again if we all stand up.
