Can I pay with love? Whilst filming this I felt the reality of what so many kinship carers feel - many politicians I have met talk of the unconditional love we offer our children, but that love doesn’t put food on the table, it’s time for the Gov 2 step up just like we do!

On ⁦@BBCBreakfast⁩ with⁩ the brilliant Koreena sharing her #KinshipCarer story. She stepped up to raise 4 grandchildren. She loves them but she says all kinship carers like her need financial support, just like foster carers get #ValueOurLove @kinshipcharity⁩

It’s pretty remarkable just how far we have come - from tirelessly explaining what kinship care is - to presenting the @educationgovuk with a kinship friendly gold standard award - here’s hoping this incredible milestone has a ripple effect and encourages wider policy changes
