The Climate Resilient NY Act just passed in the state Senate and, if fully passed and implemented, would offer a pathway to a safer, more resilient New York through a leadership structure and a plan to combat climate impacts.

What's being lost - critical infrastructure that is incredibly needed for flood-vulnerable NYCHA residents, reduced flooding for neighborhoods where people drowned in Hurricane Ida. These losses are staggering

Much of the money was to go toward flood mitigation in vulnerable areas of New York City that were struck hard by Hurricane Sandy and the remnants of Hurricane Ida.

Couldn't agree more; we have a housing crisis and a climate crisis, and we need a strategy for that. Thank you for your leadership on S3590.
The climate crisis is threatening our communities with massive property loss. We need decisive action to protect peopleās homes. My bill creating the Office of Climate Resiliency provides the proactive measures needed to safeguard our communities.
