This. The studios can do NOTHING without @sagaftra except plan on what to do after @sagaftra decides they got a fair deal. Don’t fall for the @amptp’s weak, tired old ploys. Stay strong. Stay #UnionStrong

The WGA didn’t fall for this predictable tone deaf bullshit. They stayed out until they got a contract their members could support. @sagaftra is going to do the same thing. The obscene executive compensation over at the @amptp has addled their brains. They’re nothing without us.

Actors please don’t be desperate. Please don’t push our negotiators to take whatever deal AMPTP gave us (with an hour to consider after we waited a week for a response). This is a turning point. Not just for us. This isnt just about another couple bucks on your day rate.

I’m not comparing this directly to the @AMPTP imposed strikes that @WGAWest and @sagaftra are battling now but this does neatly encapsulate an attitude that permeates corporate culture and explains the rising power of the labor movement. Workers matter.

Property developer and CEO Tim Gurner: "We need to see unemployment rise. Unemployment has to jump 40, 50 percent in my view. We need to see pain in the economy. We need to remind people that they work for the employer, not the other way around."

one of my biggest takeaways from the WGA captains meeting on monday was leadership’s warning that we should be wary of any dates or deadlines that pop up in articles or rumors. “the strike needs to be settled by X date or else” is meant to scare. it’s a powerful tool—

The AMPTP wants to break spirits. It’s a tactic. Business is war. Solidarity with each other is how we maintain spirit. We’re artists. We FEEL deeply. All of it magnified. In each other, we can find resolve. Art has power. Artists have power. Also…

I can actually name the things a PA does on a movie/tv show. I know how that person makes the production better and why they are important. I don't know what the fuck Zaslav does or why he should be rewarded.

Maybe it’s just me but if you’re mad the government suggested you wear a mask to prevent the spread of a deadly disease but fine with government telling women they have to take a pregnancy test just to travel between states, “government overreach” isn’t really your problem.

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers $15 an hour.” What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.” Funny how that works.

Disney lists $330,000 crisis PR job amid Hollywood strike. The job posting follows a disastrous interview by CEO Bob Iger in which he called the strike “disturbing.” https://t.co/9gghT3NkB8

Know what NOT electing “pot-stirrers” and “activists” to your board gets you? A shitty deal with the AMPTP.

If you are committed to voting for Trump no matter how many indictments/convictions he receives; you are the furthest thing from a patriot and you do not support law or order. You put your cult of personality that is rooted in nothing but hatred over this country. You disgrace 🇺🇸

Negotiations 101: do NOT negotiate against yourself. If they want to talk terms, we’ll negotiate terms all day, but we cannot dilute our asks before talks have even begun. Strong and steady wins. #WGAStrong
