Either the Ontario government has completely failed to do its homework, or its efforts against bike lanes are politically driven.
This is a great article with evidence on induced demand and how bikes are good for business. The only thing it doesn’t cover is cyclist deaths and injuries, and how proper infrastructure makes it safer for cyclists. #ottbike

Congratulations @Canada_Bikes for a terrific Bike Day on the Hill - driving home the message of the benefits from having more Canadians on bikes of all types and the importance of strong federal-level support.
Bike Day on the Hill was a hit! . We have so many people and partners to thank for helping to make it a successful, non-partisan celebration of cycling in Canada. Thank you to MP @juliedabrusin and @SenMartyDeacon for co-hosting us on Parliament Hill.

Agree with @ABetterOttawa. Other suggestions notably absent so far? -Reduce the roads budget, increase parking fees, develop a congestion charging plan.

🌎Tartu, European Capital of Culture 2024🎷. "The city of the good thoughts" in Estonia has a nice bike-sharing system, ready for 2024. This is how a month of GPS bike traces looks in #Tartu. #30DayMapChallenge Europe. Part of my work next to @KarlSaidla @UT_moblab . #geospatial

If you want to build public and political support for greener, healthier streets, show people realistic images of what these actually look like. @UT_moblab.
A new study finds that AI-generated visuals of street transformations can help alleviate concerns among those who view sustainable transportation advancement as a "war on cars". According to researchers the visualizations "bring people onto the same page."

In addition to bike share, @tartulinn has a very cool cargo bike rental service. This makes bike share work for more people, more of the time. @EnviroCentre @BikeOttawa @UT_moblab.

Continue to be impressed by what Hamilton has been able to do with its bike share system. Obviously McMaster students think it is a good idea - voting to add $25 CDN in tuition for bike share memberships. Agree with @MattPinder1 regarding Ottawa. @UT_moblab @tartulinn.
