I played football with men from all different backgrounds, races, religions, & outlooks. Our culture was a culture of mutual respect, where the only requirement was helping the Broncos win. Due to this respect-oriented team culture, we only had two losing seasons in 12 years!

When we watched film in preparation for this game, the tight end in the backfield always cut blocked. I was prepared so I jumped over him to make the sack. Preparation and decisiveness are keys to access in any endeavor.

I am happy they restructured Tim Patrick’s contract and kept him around. Tim Patrick’s game as a wide receiver is team centered. He reminds me of Shanahan era wide receivers Rod Smith and Ed McCaffery with his willingness and ability to block on run plays, and his steady catches.

The Bengals beating the Chiefs reminds me of when Dan Reeves Atlanta Falcons beat the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship and set up the Broncos to win their second Super Bowl win in a row. The Bengals are a great story but I’ll take whoever wins the NFC in the Super Bowl.

The Denver Broncos have started over again. Every season in the NFL is a reset, but the Broncos new coaching staff and new starters are large changes. After the Broncos loss in their first game of the season I advised fans to be patient as they learn to work well together.
