Sources are saying the BANANA FISH and NO GAME NO LIFE "dubs" have been removed. Great, now give the Spanish-language one the same treatment, release a statement affirming your support for HUMAN artists and give these wonderful shows the adaptations they deserve.

I can't stress the importance for anime dub fans globally, English or otherwise, to express their distaste for AI dubs now while you still have the chance.

Using generative AI to tell queer stories is straight up disgusting. Banana Fish deserves better. The queer community deserves better. Amazon, I promise you, we have so many talented queer actors who could have done a better job telling these stories If you’re a queer VA, drop

The grotesque, inhuman AI dub of Banana Fish is deplorable. Numerous jobs eradicated, in a failed attempt to save money. Another example of LGBTQIA+ stories once AGAIN being disrespected, erased and disenfranchised in 2025. This is unacceptable. Don’t engage. Don’t support.

A beloved show with a large LGBTQIA+ following finally gets a English dub and it's soulless artificial dogshit? Shameful doesn't even begin to cover it.

@amazon @PrimeVideo This is why it's not just important to condemn AI being forced down our collective throats, but to also support actual artists, however you can. To help get their work elevated & reminding folks that there's a helluva lot more out there beyond all of this generative slop.

So @amazon, one of the wealthiest companies on the planet, opts to use "Gen" AI to churn out lifeless slop that nobody likes when @PrimeVideo could contract out studios to put soul into its dubs. Even with unfathomable profit, they still want more. Quality & humanity be damned.

My last four role announcements feels like a classic case of "one of these things is not like the other."
