The 8th UN Global Road Safety Week focuses on making walking and cycling safe - but there is no safety when speeds are not safe. @grspartnership

The 4th Global Ministerial Conference on #RoadSafety begins in Morocco. This event will require the governments of the world to recommit to ‘evidence’ based ‘safe system’ consistent action. Reducing speed limits to those that are survivable is on essential requirement.

October 18, 1997, is a day Bright Oywaya - @oywayab, a road crash survivor, will never forget. While traveling from Nairobi to Mombasa, Kenya, she was involved in a road crash that injured her spine, leaving her unable to use her legs and confined to a wheelchair.
