Brad Smith was so good that it always amazed me how thoroughly Kansas locked him up from 2003-05. That's not shade at all—he was great! He'd KILL people, then Kansas would figure him out.

Doss was listed as a sophomore on Nebraska's roster heading into this season after a redshirt year in 2023, then playing in one game last year.

He could help this year, but also helps give Kansas a young receiving group to be excited about after Henderson, Canty, Wentz and Emilien graduate. Doss, Pickett and some of the young up-and-comers give a nice base for whichever quarterback wins the job in the post-JD era. 3/3

Doss was highly productive as a runner at Ray-Pec, whether that’s as a return man, after the catch or even on some gadget type runs. And in Kansas’ system, where WRs can also become pitch backs with the option, Doss appears to be a square peg fitting a square hole. 2/

In Nebraska transfer Jaidyn Doss, Kansas gets a player who seems to fit exactly what the Jayhawks are looking for in a well-rounded wideout who can turn short gains into big ones after the catch. Doss is thickly built, like a RB, and turns into one after securing the football. 1/
