So much sense being talked at today’s @JustBuildHomes #UKREiiF launch about attitudes of young people in Leeds to housing development. Spoiler: they’re *very* keen to see more homes built. The report’s called ‘Get Cracking and Build’ - link below: https://t.co/9bTn5jtYjq

The UK is in a housing crisis. Millions can't afford to buy, and those who could are now facing mortgage payment rises. It is vital that we #BuildMoreHomes of all types and help make housing more affordable for all.

Five years without a secure place to call home. This is totally unacceptable. We must build more social housing and more homes of ALL types so that everyone has a place to call home🏠

The reason for this is simple: there are not enough homes. We need to #BuildMoreHomes of all types and give young people a fair shot at the same freedom and opportunity their parents had.

The number of young people owning their own home has almost halved since the 1990s. Increased demand and lack of supply have pushed the prices up and made home ownership a distant hope for those who wish to find a place to call their own. #BuildMoreHomes

An interesting statistic from Market Financial Solutions (MFS) 🤔 69% also said that the lack of affordable housing is one of the most pressing social issues in the UK. The UK is in a #housingcrisis. We need more homes built. Join the campaign here 👉 https://t.co/H5GRZi1Y3W

People should not have to wait three decades to get onto the housing ladder. The lack of housebuilding has caused a backlog of 4.3 million homes in the UK - causing a competitive market in which millions struggle to keep a roof over their heads. #BuildMoreHomes of all types.

"More couples are now pooling their resources in hopes of beating rising prices and higher mortgage rates" As demand continues to outstrip supply, home ownership is pushed further out of reach for people across the UK. We need to #BuildMoreHomes of all types.

Housing affordability in the UK is now 8.4 times the average income. This is not normal. We must build more homes of all types so that supply can catch up to demand. Have your voice heard in the housing debate, join the campaign: https://t.co/H5GRZi2vTu @Channel4 @ONS

'On average, four or five potential renters compete for each available room, blaming the diminishing housing stock for driving up rents.' This should not be the reality of renting. We must #buildmorehomes of all types so that housing can become more affordable for all.

“If you don’t earn over £40,000, it is very hard to get a property” Despite working full time, many families are being forced to stay in cramped hotel rooms due to rising rent costs and lack of housing. Everyone deserves a place to call home. #BuildMoreHomes of all types.

Millions are struggling to afford their rent due to the housing crisis. It's time to stop arguing about the type of housing we build and just #buildmorehomes of all types so that people can afford to keep a roof over their heads.

If you managed to get on the housing ladder in the 70’s or 80’s, you may as well have won the lottery 🎰 Housing was plentiful and cheap. Since then, the number of new homes being built has declined & property prices have risen to record highs. We need to build #BuildMoreHomes.

Can you guess the average price first-time buyers spent on a house in London last year? It’s higher than you think… £462,070. Londoners spent approximately £462,070 on their 🚨FIRST🚨 home in 2022. That’s almost double what it was ten years ago. #BuildMoreHomes of all types.
