It has been a busy first week in Parliament after the Summer recess! Here are a few things I've done this week working for Bradford. And, on Friday and over the weekend, I was out visiting local groups and businesses, and speaking to local residents. Take a look 👇

As the summer holidays wrapped up, I popped by @SandaleTrust to catch up with young people, find out about their summer, and what they are looking forward to in the new school year. Local groups have made a huge difference this summer to young people all across Bradford South!

Ahead of World Sepsis Day later this month, I met Harry @Redknapp and Lord Mackinlay to show my support for the @UKSepsisTrust. I joined the trust in encouraging everyone to become #SepsisSavvy to recognize the signs of sepsis - a life-threatening medical emergency

Fantastic to visit Abrahams and Carlisle last week to meet MD Jon and the team. It's great to see manufacturing skills being honed right here in Bradford. A&C were recently responsible for the manufacture and installation of 50+ stalls at the brand new Darley Street Market!

Today, poignant services were held in Bradford South and the city centre to mark and reflect on the 80th anniversary of VJ Day and the end of Second World War. We will remember.

Today marks 80 years since the end of WWII in the Pacific. We remember all those who served and sacrificed. A service will be held at the Cenotaph, Bradford City Centre at 11.45am, ahead of the national two minutes' silence at midday. #VJDay #VJ80
