A large part of our job is engaging with as many people as possible that use St Helier Harbour. Last week, one of our Watch Officers gave a talk at the St Helier Yacht Club about how to navigate safely through St Helier Harbour and the VTS area. Thank you for inviting us.

Due to the strong winds and large swell forecast as a result of Storm Eowyn, please check your moorings, ensuring your vessel and personal watercraft are securely moored to prevent any damage or drifting. The strong winds are expected to last for a few days.

Good luck to our Watch Officer Nathan who is representing the Channel Islands team at the British Surfing Championships, at the Watersplash from 11 to 13 October. We're hoping his home advantage will help him impress the judges and Team GB coaching staff at the Championships.

From October to January, grey seal pups may be spotted on our outer reefs, coves, and hidden beaches. If you spot a pup, please keep your distance, call us on 01534 447705 to report the sighting and we'll work with BDMLR. Leash your dog and leave the beach as soon as possible.
