2 yrs ago today, Anohni and the Johnsons released “My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross”. A gorgeous album dealing with prejudice, grief, & environmentalism. The heavy influence of soul music, Anohni's deeply arresting voice and nuanced songwriting makes it a masterpiece.
