20 years ago today Elliott Smith passed away at only 34yrs old. One of the most gifted songwriters & musicians of his generation, it's such a terrible loss. His influence is still felt in so many modern artists. A singular artist that is dearly missed & whose music I cherish. 💙

after having a 2nd listen I think "All Born Screaming" is very good. ditching Antonoff has allowed St. Vincent to really hone in on her production skills & experiment. Still wish the album leaned more into the heavy industrial rock style as I think that suits her best.
