The Cup Series is indeed the pinnacle, and I can respect his desire to compete at that level. However, my frustration is that he did not communicate this opinion eloquently; instead, he insulted employees, partners, drivers, owners, fans and, I would suggest, NASCAR itself.

As you guys have heard I won’t be full time in the 38 this year. It was a shock when they told me and I’m disappointed. We’re working really hard to still be behind the wheel for the races I will be missing and plan on putting our best foot forward all season.

CC made the decision to go all out and lowered the back! It was bottoming out and shaking so much that I accidentally hit the ignition switch instead of the alternator switch at the starting line. 😂 I’m proud of this team and looking forward to tomorrow’s race! 👍

@kgeyer3 I agree with this. Rules typically limit our ability to be creative in finding cost effective solutions. For instance next year, teams will be required to have non sponsor branded behind the wall fire suits. This is removing a sellable asset from teams.

@ChrisPhineas @MattWeaverRA Each off season we’ve added expensive rule changes in the truck series. Owners have to spend everything they squirrel away during the year just to maintain. We need change & improvement but the magnitude needs adjustment. IMO.
