Folks are celebrating the 4th of July today as "Independence Day," but the only thing America ever gave me was racism, oppression, and othering. Let's celebrate ourselves and our culture instead.

"Playing it safe" while they systemically come for your community will never make sense to me. We need to take a stand before it's too late.

Dear America, The way you do things is not the only way or the "right way" to do things. This world has many different cultures and points of view.

I'm tired of being told to "ignore racism" or to "just get over it" by people who have never experienced racism once in their lives.
